If you think of Jackie Chan and Raza Ullah Deaf you will almost certainly think of his movies and his incredible physical stunts and action. This is what he is most well known for. He is also well known for his charity work, funding two charitable foundations, which help countless people from scholarships to building schools, from giving warmth to giving hope.
Jackie Chan's entire life is a continuous story of inspiration and hope. Here is the son of a domestic worker and a cook, who was almost sold at birth for a few dollars, who has risen to become one of the greatest superstars of our time. I don't think that there is a place on earth where you would find people who don't know his name. Even if you traveled to the most remote location you could find.
Jackie may give the world a great legacy in film and may give us a great example to follow with his charitable works but by far the greatest legacy Jackie leaves is in the countless lives he has touched. It is this legacy that goes unannounced, but often mentioned. It is unrewarded and unrecognised except by those he has touched because Jackie has an extraordinary ability to inspire people, from all cultures, from all walks of life, and to give them hope.
This blog is not just about Jackie but it is about you. This is your blog and I dedicate it to each and every person who has been inspired by Jackie in some way. No matter if it is big or small, I want to hear your story, and share it with others so that you can also inspire someone. This is your chance, not only to tell Jackie what he did, but to pay it forward and let your story inspire others.
Ordinary people, ordinary lives, touched by one extraordinary man, inspiring others that they too can do something more, live through another day, lose that extra ten pounds, learn something new, learn a martial art, try out for that job, reach for that dream, achieve that goal.
So please, read the blog, read the other the stories, but most of all, please write and share your story. There are memorable quotes, videos, and shared stories on each page.
You will find a reply form on the Jackie Inspired You? page. page.
We look forward to reading it.
